Every year, Medicare Advantage plans send out an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) — and every year, the details inside it matter. For 2026, many Utah plans adjusted their networks, drug formularies, premiums, and extra benefits. A plan that was a great fit last year isn’t automatically the best fit this year.
What commonly changes
- Provider networks — your doctor or hospital may move in or out of network
- Drug formularies — your medications may shift tiers or require new approvals
- Premiums and copays — even $0-premium plans can change cost-sharing
- Extra benefits — dental, vision, hearing, and OTC allowances are adjusted
What to do about it
Read your ANOC, then check three things: are your doctors still in network, are your drugs still covered affordably, and did your out-of-pocket costs change? The Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7) is your window to switch for the coming year.
